Twelve answers, each one short enough to read on a phone. Everything here is sourced from the Steam store page or the official announcements, and the longer version of each answer is linked where it exists.

How much does it cost?

$19.99 list, $17.99 during the launch window, which runs for the first 14 days after release. The Deluxe Edition is $35.99 list and $30.59 at launch. Full breakdown in release date and price.

Is there a Chinese language option?

Yes — both scripts. Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese are both supported for interface and subtitles, alongside English, Japanese and Korean. Voice acting is Japanese only.

How many chapters?

Five. Each one is a murder, an investigation and a trial, and the developers put a full playthrough at about 20 hours.

How long does it take to finish?

About 20 hours by the studio's own estimate, which assumes you read at a normal pace. Investigation sections stretch if you poke at everything; the trials are fixed length.

Is there a demo?

Yes, free, on Steam as app 3753800. It covers about two hours — the opening case and first trial — and it is still available after launch, with extra clues added for release.

Does demo progress carry over?

The developers have not published a save-transfer path, and Chapter 1 was substantially revised for launch. Check whether Continue is available on a fresh install; if it is not, start a new game. The studio's own advice to returning demo players is to skip to the Trial section of Chapter 2.

Can I play it on Steam Deck?

Not officially. The store lists Steam Deck as Unsupported for graphics performance, while SteamOS is Playable and desktop controller support is full. The demo was advertised as Deck-compatible in September 2026, so the free demo is the honest test. Details in Steam Deck and controller.

Is it voiced?

Fully voiced in Japanese, with more than 10,000 lines recorded. There is no English dub and none has been announced. Five text languages, one audio track.

Does it support controllers?

Yes — full controller support on desktop, with rebindable controls. Players have reported a DualShock 4 recognition problem in launch week; Xbox-style pads work out of the box.

How difficult is it?

There is an adjustable difficulty setting, and the store separately lists "Playable without Timed Input" — so the timed debates can be handled without a hard clock. The difficulty comes from the timer rather than from puzzle complexity.

Does it have multiple endings?

The store lists "Multiple Endings" as a tag, so the game does branch. This site does not map the branches, because doing so would spoil the last two chapters.

Is there DLC?

Two paid extras: the Original Soundtrack at $6.99 (42 tracks) and the Artbook at $8.99 (character designs, CGs, backgrounds, animation frames). The Deluxe Edition bundles all three. No story DLC, no season pass.

One more: is it scary?

It is a murder mystery with body horror and a cult, not a horror game that chases you. The psychological tag refers to the premise — perception itself is unreliable — rather than to jump scares. There is a Gore Display toggle if the blood is a problem.

Where to go next

What Psycho-Sleuth is for the longer overview, the walkthrough hub if you are mid-game and want to know what is safe to read, and known issues if something is broken rather than confusing.

Answers are drawn from the Steam store page, the official announcements of September 2025 to November 2026, and the store's language and feature lists. Checked 6 November 2026.

Two questions people ask after buying

Can I turn off the timer? The store lists "Playable without Timed Input", and there is an adjustable difficulty setting. Between the two, the timed sections can be softened rather than switched off entirely — the pressure is the design, and the settings reduce it rather than remove it.

Is there a gallery or a chapter select? Not at launch. Gallery Mode for replaying CGs is listed as a planned future update, and there is no chapter select in the launch build — saving anywhere is the substitute.

The questions that are not on the list

Why does the store say 5 November when the release date is 4 November? Time zones. Steam stores the US date; the studio announced the launch in Taipei time. There was one launch, on one day, written two ways.

Why are some achievements at 0.0%? Because nobody tracked has unlocked them yet, two days after launch. It means under roughly 0.05% of players, not impossible.

Is the Deluxe Edition worth it? Only if you want both extras. Buying the game alone gets you the complete story; check the DLC file for what is inside each one.

Does the game auto-save? There is save-anywhere, which means manual saves at any point. Whether there is also an autosave is not something the store documents — make a manual save before every trial regardless, which is the advice that also protects you from the launch-week softlock.
